# sleepSEE - Brand and Clinical Reference

## Brand identity

**sleepSEE®** is styled with lowercase “sleep” and uppercase “SEE.” It is a doctor-directed Ortho-K program with two branches:

- Childhood myopia management for eligible children
- Nonsurgical daytime vision correction for eligible adults

## Orthokeratology

Orthokeratology (Ortho-K) uses custom prescription rigid gas-permeable contact lenses worn overnight. The lenses create a temporary change in corneal shape. They are removed in the morning, and eligible patients may have daytime vision without glasses or daytime contacts.

Certain overnight Ortho-K lens systems are FDA-approved for the temporary reduction of nearsightedness. This statement does not mean every Ortho-K design is approved for every patient or that Ortho-K is FDA-approved for myopia control.

If lens wear stops, the cornea gradually returns toward its pretreatment shape and the vision correction diminishes.

## Childhood myopia management

Myopia often progresses while a child’s eyes are growing. Family history, age of onset, prescription change, near-work patterns, and outdoor time can inform risk discussions.

For eligible children, Ortho-K may help slow myopia progression as part of an individualized, monitored care plan. Individual outcomes vary.

A participating provider may monitor:

- Prescription
- Corneal health and lens fit
- Corneal topography
- Axial length when clinically appropriate
- Visual response and adherence to the care routine

## Candidacy

There is no single right age. Candidacy depends on the patient’s prescription, corneal measurements, eye health, maturity, and ability to follow lens-care instructions.

An online screener is educational only. Final candidacy requires an in-person eye examination and corneal evaluation by a qualified provider.

## Safety

Overnight contact-lens wear carries a risk of infection. Safe-use counseling includes:

- Careful hand and lens hygiene
- Avoiding tap water, swimming, and showering with lenses
- Using only the recommended lens-care products
- Attending scheduled follow-up visits
- Promptly contacting an eye doctor for pain, redness, discharge, light sensitivity, or sudden blur

## Payment

sleepSEE® is a private-pay program — insurance and TRICARE are not accepted for program fees. HSA/FSA funds may be used for eligible expenses, and CareCredit financing is available.

## Provider network

sleepSEE is offered through participating eye care professionals. Each provider is responsible for clinical evaluation, prescribing, fitting, patient education, and follow-up.
