# sleepSEE

> sleepSEE is a doctor-directed Ortho-K program for childhood myopia management and nonsurgical daytime vision correction for adults.

## What is sleepSEE?

sleepSEE uses custom prescription orthokeratology (Ortho-K) lenses worn overnight. The lenses temporarily reshape the cornea and are removed in the morning. Eligible patients may have daytime vision without glasses or daytime contacts.

sleepSEE has two branches:
- Childhood myopia management for eligible children
- Nonsurgical daytime vision correction for eligible adults

## Important clinical facts

- Certain overnight Ortho-K lens systems are FDA-approved for the temporary reduction of nearsightedness.
- This does not mean Ortho-K is FDA-approved for myopia control.
- For eligible children, Ortho-K may help slow myopia progression. Individual outcomes vary.
- There is no single right starting age. Candidacy depends on prescription, corneal measurements, eye health, maturity, and the ability to follow the care routine.
- If lens wear stops, the cornea gradually returns toward its pretreatment shape and the vision correction diminishes.
- Overnight contact-lens wear carries an infection risk. Hygiene, water avoidance, scheduled follow-up, and prompt evaluation of warning symptoms are essential.
- sleepSEE® is a private-pay program — insurance and TRICARE are not accepted for program fees. HSA/FSA funds may be used for eligible expenses, and CareCredit financing is available.
- Published sleepSEE pricing: $93 evaluation, $2,400 first-year program for children and adults, $2,850 Post-LASIK Ortho-K program, and replacement lenses after year one at approximately $200 per lens.

## How it works

1. A participating eye doctor evaluates candidacy and eye health.
2. Corneal topography and prescription measurements guide custom lens design.
3. The patient receives lens handling, hygiene, and water-avoidance instructions.
4. Lenses are worn overnight and removed in the morning.
5. The provider monitors fit, corneal health, prescription, and visual response.
